BEFORE YOU GO
Language & Friendship asks that participants be in excellent health! The fast pace and strenuous nature of group travel requires high energy, flexibility, and resourcefulness. Success on the program depends on being physically and mentally prepared to fully participate and adapt in another culture.
Any physical and emotional/psychological health issues you have will follow you when you travel. New surroundings and circumstances can exacerbate existing issues. Please address your situation honestly and discuss it with your teacher/leader.
Any changes or additions to the health information you indicated on your application must be communicated to Language & Friendship.
Dietary Needs: Travelers with dietary restrictions are expected to eat what they can and take responsibility for packing/buying supplements if necessary.
Preferences vs. Restrictions: Regarding food, smoke or pets, if you indicate a restriction on your application and it is not controlled by medication, is it truly a severe condition that cannot be controlled with medication or is it just a preference? The distinction is important.
